Calling interested students: Form an environmental club!

An environmental club at John Jay College would be a great opportunity for students interested in sustainability and environmental justice to socialize and get to know each other better.  Members of the club could decide what they would like to do, but some possibilities are: watching movies, raising awareness on campus around environmental issues, working with Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild homes that may have been destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, inviting guest speakers, and of course, having pizza during community hour.johnjay1

At John Jay, a club can only be formed if approximately 15 students show interest in starting one.  Any student who would be  interested in an environmental club should contact Dr. Sandra Swenson at [email protected] with the words “Environmental Club” in the subject line.  Dr. Swenson hopes to help get the club rolling once student interest can be established.
