Dancing Solar Flowers: Opening reception for eco-art installation on campus

The opening reception for the exhibit of eco-artist Alexandre Dang’s, Dancing Solar Flowers, takes place on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at 5:00 PM at the entry to the Jay Walk, 3rd floor of the New Building at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Dang’s scientific background informs his Dancing Solar Flowers– light driven installations raising awareness about sustainable ecological developments. These kinetic paper flowers use solar energy as their power to move, and as they appear applied to the glass facing the Jay Walk, they echo the natural backdrop outside thus bringing the outdoor environment indoors.
