DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, November 17\, from 1:40–2:50 PM in Rm 09.64 NB for Urban Biocultural Restoration and Indigenous Continuance in NYC\, a talk by Lily Kunkel (they/them)\, a Two-spirit ecologist of Cherokee and Choctaw descent and PhD student at Columbia University. \nLily’s research explores the connections between cultural diversity and biodiversity in cities\, with a particular focus on birds and the urban Indigenous experience. They will share on how Indigenous identities are expressed\, sustained\, and uplifted through the biodiversity of urban green spaces. \nSnacks and refreshments will be provided! \nPlease register here if you’d like to attend.
