Forest Man, a film about doing it yourself
Forest Man is the compelling story of Jadav Payeng, an Indian man who single-handedly planted nearly 1,400 acres of forest to save his island, Majuli. This year it won the Best Emerging Documentary award at the Cannes Film Festival, along with a handful of other awards and acclaim as it has moved through the festival circuit. On the heels of the Cannes win, the director decided to release the film for free on Youtube. It’s less than 17 minutes long, so check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section of this post.
