As a lead up to the People’s Climate March, on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 10:00 a.m.-noon, nuclear activists and experts will discuss problems related to nuclear power at the United Nations Church Center (44th St. and 1st Ave., Manhattan). Topics covered will include Fukushima, nuclear waste, uranium mining, human rights, health, economic, and technical issues. The forum will take the perspective that nuclear energy is not “clean” energy nor a solution to climate change.
