John Jay Sustainability and Environmental Justice Speaker Series

Jacqui Patterson, the director of the NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice program will be speaking at the first Sustainability Programs Event of the 2015/2016 school year.

Her talk is titled “From Local to Global: Gender Justice and the Climate Change Agenda”

Jacqui Patterson, MSW, MPH, has worked on international and domestic issues including gender, racial, economic, environmental and climate justice, with organizations such as the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, IMA World Health, United for a Fair Economy, and the organization she co- founded, Women of Color United. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of the Black World Center for Story Based Strategy, and the US Climate Action Network, as well as on the Steering Committee for Interfaith Moral Action on Climate Change.
