“We need our open spaces”: Panel discussion about NYC’s community gardens

As part of the Sierra Club’s Sustainability Series, a panel discussion of city policies around community gardens will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Seafarers & International House, 123 E. 15th St., Manhattan.  Door open at 6:30 for refreshments and the talk starts at 7:00.  Concerned that city policies allow the sale of community gardens to developers, the panelists, including Tupper Thomas of New Yorkers for Parks and Aziz Dehkan from the New York City Community Garden Coalition, will talk about ways to protect green spaces.
