In connection with the environmental film festival, “EcoCinema Cafe,” come to a special screening of “Can’t stop the water” in room L.63 at John Jay (new building). It tells the true story of a Louisiana tribe who are being displaced because their island is disappearing, destroyed by decades of oil extraction, government levees, and rising seas. Members of the Louisiana tribe featured in the film will be present to discuss the film and answer questions afterwards. This is an event you won’t want to miss! Celebrate Earth Day at John Jay College: free and open to the public.
